So today was the tournament that we had and my robot was pretty good. The tape fix was working well to stop or to fix the traction problems that I had. My first match was up against my friend with his robot called Bastion, which was an angled horizontal spinner. The fight went over pretty quickly. I defeated Bastion right away and then my second fight was against another one of my friends with his robot, not important, which was the actual name of his robot. The fight went pretty good. I switched out my fork design for my ramp because I knew that his robot's forks didn't actually touch the ground in the front so I'd always be able to lift his forks up in a head-on. My plan worked perfectly. We got into the arena, I got some good hits on him. He knocked my ramp off in the first couple minutes of fighting but then I was able to knock both of his forks off and his weapon and basically total his entire robot. He was able to repair it. My third fight was against a horizontal spinner called Roomba from Hell. Roomba from Hell was already pretty beat up from the last fight so it wasn't much of a contest. They attacked me head-on. I knocked their weapon off and then they got some pins on me but I also did a lot more damage to them. My fourth fight was against a ramp bot or a wedge bot. I lost this one because my traction was getting messed up again but I fixed my traction for my fifth fight, which was against a robot named Helios, which was a vertical spinner. The weapon broke so now it was basically just a control bot. I won this fight but it was incredibly close. After I won that I then moved back up to the winners bracket against the wedge bot again and I got some really good hits on him this time because my traction wasn't getting messed up. After I got some good hits on him the judges gave the win to me because I had more damage on him and I won the entire tournament. It was just such a good experience. Being so friendly with all of my peers and even the people that I was going against, just that whole atmosphere was so friendly. I think combat is going to be such a good time and so fun to be in.
