So we have an Ender V3 SE. It's a pretty cheap, supposedly pretty good printer but in our experience it has trouble making quality prints or even starting the print is incredibly hard for it. You have to make it go really really slow. I've been doing some testing with it to try and fix it because since I'm going into combat robotics I'm going to need a 3D printer to do quick prototyping. It's pretty crucial that I get this one working. What worked for a little bit was glue sticks. Putting a glue stick down would keep the printer from peeling up the bottom layer and it allowed it to actually print stuff. The one glue stick that worked ran out and my mom bought a pack of other glue sticks but they dried out before the printer can start laying the print out. I've been talking to Gemini for a little bit and it told me to adjust the bed's auto Z leveling, which just means its height compared to the nozzle. After decreasing the number so basically just the nozzle and the bed are closer together, I've been able to get it to actually lay down the print. This is because what was happening before is the printer was just laying the print in the air and it was just falling down onto the print bed and not actually sticking. A different problem I'm having is with the printer. One side it lays it just fine but the other side has the same problem where it doesn't stick to the bed. I'm thinking the bed is tilted a little bit so one side is higher than the other side. I'm about to go start a print and watch it to see where the exact fault line is and then hopefully I can manually adjust it.
