My brother, two friends, and I have been making wooden guns for a while now. We start by using a scroll saw to cut the basic shape out of wood, then smooth everything out with a sander. To add cool details, we use a torch to burn in designs and a small saw for finer touches.
We also use wood stain to give the guns a better color, and a chisel to carve out things like sights and ejection ports. It’s a lot of fun to see a simple block of wood turn into something that looks so realistic!
