So today for combat camp when we arrived there, we got right to work cutting our own bots. The way it worked generally is we were sat down in groups of six and the instructors would be walking around, waiting for us to ask for help or just looking at our designs and pointing out things to improve and so on. Every so often they would ask about a design and they would show you some tips and tricks and general rules for making it. For example I asked how you should CAD the side profile of my vertical drum spinner andhe then pulled up his cat on his laptop and showed everyone in there how you should design one just because it's good for everyone to know. Even if they weren't making that robot in that camp, in the future if they ever wanted to make one, it'd be just nice to know. Anyways I got around 70% of my CAD done. I still need to refine some details and the biggest part is I need to add the forks that stick out the front but aside from that I'm mostly done. Anyways on Thursday they're going to go over you and help you to finalize your design. Make sure all of the tolerances are right so when they actually do print it, everything's going to fit together and then they're going to print it over the weekend. We'll start assembly on Monday.
