So today for combat camp we quickly finished the example robot. After we finished it, we made a presentation on the robot that we were going to design for the camp. I made a presentation about why I want to make an eggbeater vertical spinner and my application was accepted because it's a relatively simple design. Then he gave a presentation on just a bunch of design choices that we should work into our robots, like: - angled sides so your robot doesn't lay on its side and it would flip over onto its wheels if it ever does land on its side - a couple things on how you should design your weapon, such as bar weapon designs, circle weapon designs, or uneven weapon designs He also gave a couple of safety talks about the electronics and how they would be arranged in our robots. After that we had a demonstration fight with a couple of example robots they had made earlier. During the fight one of the robot's batteries exploded, which was a not cool way of showing us the dangers of lithium batteries. After this we had the rest of the day to start designing our own robots and we're going to be doing this until Thursday. We just go there, design our robots, and we can ask them for help on how you should make a certain part or how you should design something.
